 Back in 1998 (yes that long ago) a Christmas Site called Christmas Street was started by one of the 411 Crew members at Geocities. After a Christmas or two the site became pretty popular because it had more music content than most of the other sites and would often draw 800+ page views a day around Christmas. Well about 2001 Christmas Street moved to a bigger server and we kept it going and then around 2003 other constraints like Jobs and Life kind of put it on the back burner. It survived a few Christmas' on its own and then probably around 2006 was taken off the server. In early October 2008 the timing was right to start this back up. If we could spend a few hours a month and have the site at least break even with advertising then why not! Plus alot of people seemed to enjoy the old holiday site. We started the site up in October 2008 as 411onChristmas.com as the new name since we never really owned any old Christmas Street web address. Plus the coding needed a total overhaul. This was 2008 and the coding with few modifications was from 1999. So with a few style sheets and a new graphics program we were back in business. After we got 411onChristmas.com online we quickly noticed that Christmas traffic is only once a year and we have this server waiting around and doing nothing the other 11 months. Why not make a variety of holiday sites that interconnect and bring in some revenue year round? Sure... Paying for the server, advertising and a couple of nice dinners is a great idea! So thats how 411onHolidays.com was born.
